I want to share with you my Conscious Christmas List…My recipe for a Christmas with Heart. Choose a couple that resonate with you and notice the difference it makes to you and your family this Christmas.
From my family to yours, blessings for a magical Christmas.
1. Christmas with Awareness
Be conscious of the choices you make. Too often we do things out of habit, because we did them last year. Let go of anything that does not uplift you and bring you closer to others. Choose activities that make your heart sing.
2. Christmas with Heart
Spend time; spend money because you want to, not because you have too. Everything has energy. Give gifts that come from your heart and the true gift will be the love that that you have placed there with intention. The same goes for every event that you attend. Remember it is OK to say no.
3. Christmas with Truth
“People stay silent not because they have nothing to say but because there is so much to say that they don’t know where to start.” Andrew Bovell.
Make a commitment this year to speak from your heart. Tell people how you feel about them. Be courageous enough to ask for how you would love Christmas to be. Ask your family what would make Christmas special for them. Focus on simplicity, connection and love.
4. Christmas with Forgiveness
I forgive you for not being the person I wanted you to be. I forgive you and I set you free. This affirmation sets us free. Louise Hay
At Christmas we bring our past hurts with us. Forgiveness is the greatest healer of the soul. Offer forgiveness to others. Offer forgiveness to yourself. This is the way to move forward.
5. Christmas with Kindness and Service
Want things for others more than you want them for yourself. Wayne Dyer
Find ways to offer gifts of kindness to everyone you meet. Say thank you, bring loving energy to stressful supermarkets. Look for ways to give freely of yourself to others, especially to people less fortunate than you. Feel the love grow in your own heart.
Be grateful for every moment in your life, the people, the opportunities, the gifts and even the challenges. Notice how gratitude shifts your perception from what is missing to what is already beautiful and present in your life.
7. Christmas with Presence
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses outside the window today. Dale Carnegie.
Be completely present for the people in your life, in that moment, in the now. It is all we have.
8. Christmas with Joy
See Christmas through the eyes of a child. Bring back the magic and the joy. Get down on the floor and play like a child. Laugh lots. Look at the world with awe and wonder. Follow your bliss.
9. Christmas with Love and Compassion
Love is our true nature. Let your words, your thoughts and your actions shift from the clutter that is in your head to the purity that comes from your heart.
10. Christmas with Peace
“Lord… Make me an instrument of your peace.” St Francis of Assisi
You don’t attract into your life what you want, you attract who you are. Wayne Dyer
Bring peace to every situation by being the peace that you wish to see. When you find this within your own heart, only then can you show others the way.
